Ste writes: "It's a shame we didn't get to work on a DS version, instead of a PSP prototype, as a touch screen hand-held platform is the perfect home for this game."

Sticky Balls was simple but addictive puzzle game originally developed by John in his spare time towards the end of Zed Two.
Designed with the Pocket PC's touch screen in mind, the game was prototyped on the PC in Blitz Basic and given to friends and people in the office to play, and even made available for free download from zedtwo.com, but not neccessarily intended as commercial product. The demo ended up being passed around the UK video game industry, and in response to the surprising popularity we developed the game a little further, and opened a website to keep track of hi-score tables.
Seeing the potential of releasing the game as a downloadable PC game we agreed a deal with Real Arcade and finished off the game for them, and also wrote a Pocket PC version, finally implementing the touch screen control system which was the original inspiration.
After Zed Two was sold to Warthog, the new owners took charge of selling the product and decided to pursue more lucrative opportunities, shelving the completed PC and Pocket PC versions of the game, which were never commercially released.
Before Zed Two was closed down we got some interest from SCEE in a PSP version of Sticky Balls, and began development of a souped up version, using the early emulators of the new 3D handheld.
The studio was closed down, and John and Ste were made redundant during the the development of this version, so we weren't involved in the crazy-golf like direction the game went in.
Eventually a 4th version of Sticky Balls was be developed, which was the first one to get a commercial release, after the developer - Warthog - was bought by the manufacturer of comedy handheld console Gizmondo.
We weren't involved in the development of this version at all, as we'd been made redundant months previously.
