(Anonymous) (Playstation Review) 17th Apr 2012 06:00"Another FIFA game...what should we expect?"
It's incredible what the EA Sports team does with the FIFA series. Ok, the graphics get even better, the pass system is gorgeous, but the the fun factor and the replay value...man...stinks....
EA got the FIFA license right? But the games aren't big thing. I just wonder, why Konami ( Winning Eleven / ISS Pro Evolution series) doesn't have the license? The graphics aren't ''that'' good, and the games have few teams, but Konami's soccer games beat EA's FIFA on everything else! But let's talk about FIFA 2002 again. There are some good new features on this version, like the Rewards and the Clubs Shields, but there are so many errors...like the Netherlands national team: Have you see those name? Player 1, Player 2...oh boy... and the goal celebrations? I never see some of those...those...those bizarre celebration on real! Let's start a more accuracy review.
----------------GRAPHICS--------------- (8/10)
FIFA's graphics can be great or poor at the same time. The players kits are the best on the games, but the way the players move are so dumb! Did you ever seen a soccer player run looking at his side? If this happens on real soccer? The player runs looking for the right and ... OUCH... hits the player standing on his front! Think again EA!!!! One of the best FIFA graphics points are the referre scenes. Yeah, one of the bests, even when the referre signs a penalty, and a defenser (zagueiro , defense man) take the ball, and a center-forward shoot. It's idiot!
--------------GAMEPLAY/CONTROL----------------- (5/10)
The FIFA's gameplay stinks. After FIFA 2000 ''players button'' improvement, it became almost impossible to score direct free kicks goals. And on FIFA 2002 it's almost impossible do a good cross. Or the ball go too high, or direct for a goal kick, or to the midfield. Im my opinion, the only things on the gameplay that are better that the FIFA's 2001 are the shoot and pass. It became easiest to score with the X button.
-----------------OTHERS------------------------- (2/10)
A very low score on this category, and I will say why:
Missing teams/leagues. FIFA 2002 has a large number of team/leagues, but there still are missing some stuff. The 2 points in this section goes do the rewards. Just for the rewards.
Missing league: Argentina , BRAZIL (present on the 98/99/00/01 PSX version), Mexico , Portugal , J-League , Libertadores da America , Mercosul (or Mercosur) , and the World Cup.
ABOUT THIS REVIEW : My first review ever! I'm so proud! OK! It can be a poor review but it's my first one!
