Animaniacs is a video game which is based on the Warner Bros. animated series of the same name. The game was developed and published by Konami, who also developed the SNES version, which is a completely different game.

In this game, the Warner Brothers and Sister (Yakko, Wakko, and Dot) want to get closer to their favorite movies stars, so they decide to open up a shop to sell movie memorabilia. The game involves traveling to four different levels to obtain an item to sell in the shop.

Once the player completes an intro stage in which they must learn to use each character’s special abilities, they can choose any order to enter the levels from the stage select screen. After collecting the item from all four stages, the player can enter the final level, where they must fight Pinky and the Brain.

In Animaniacs, the player controls the team of Yakko, Wakko and Dot. They can switch which character they control at any time and the other two characters will follow the leader as the player moves through the stages. Each character has a unique ability which must be used to complete the stages. Yakko uses a paddleball to stun enemies, and is able to push and pull objects. Wakko uses a mallet, which can be used to hit switches or break certain objects; he can also light fuses. Dot is able to blow kisses, which can charm certain characters into helping the group along.

The group has a certain amount of health and a set number of lives. A portrait of the character's faces show the player their status; the characters will begin to look tired and sad as they lose health. Food pick-ups can restore health. Collecting 100 stars in the stages will earn the player an extra life.

Konami also released a different Animaniacs game for the SNES. A scaled down port of this version of the game was developed for Gameboy.
