(Anonymous) (Unknown) 7th Nov 2012 02:58Batman Revenge of the Joker is the official followup to the original Batman NES/Genesis game released by Sunsoft. It is the 16bit version of the NES title Batman: Return of the Joker. While the original game was based on the Tim Burton film, Return of the Joker instead takes inspiration from the comic series, yet retains some of the styles and design used in the original game. The game features enhanced 16bit graphics and audio, when compared to the NES version.
Batman's main attacks include firing projectiles. Power-ups collected throughout the game, however, change the type of weapon he uses to attack enemies.
The game features 7 stages which are also broken up into sub-stages. Several stages conclude with a boss battle. Bosses include the Joker's henchman, and finally the Joker himself. A password system allows the player to continue on the last stage they left off at.
While this is the last Sunsoft published Batman game, other developers have released Batman games for the Genesis as well, including movie licensed titles
