John and Ste Pickford (Unknown) 22nd Mar 2013 01:36Also known as Commando '87.
Ste writes: "I didn't have much, if anything, to do with this. I somehow got a call asking me to do the loading screen for the game, which was being developed by some guys in Stockport, where I lived. I think there was some connection with the guy I did the Ghosts and Goblins graphics for, but my memory fails me.
The game seemed pretty nice actually, a kind of gauntlet-y, commando-y type of thing. I visited the guys writing the game just once, in a very scruffy office in Bramhall I think. I was used to the rather plush Binary Design offices, in the big city, so I felt like I was slumming it a bit, hehe. The programmer's nickname was 'Slimbo', and I can distinctly recall the folds of his more-than-ample bottom drooping over the edges of the tall thin breakfast type stool he was sat on when I visited."
