C64 Review on Gamefaqs.com (Unknown)   23rd Mar 2013 01:42
"The Best Game Ever!!!"

First and foremost, this is the best game I have ever played. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is the best, and the story cannot be beat. It is one of my favorite games of all time. It is number four on my list of all time top ten favorite games list. It's just that fun to play Commando. Now, let's get on with the review.

Graphics - 10/10
The graphics in this game are probably the best of any Commodore 64 game I have ever played. They are just so perfect. The look of the characters, the backgrounds, everything graphic-related is just superb. There is absolutely no complaints from me about the graphics. They are just so good!

Sound - 9/10
The sound is probably the best of any Commodore 64 game I have ever played also. The sounds are smooth and they set the mood perfectly. The music can seem a little out of place at times, but other than that, the sound is magnificent.

Control - 8/10
I felt that the control scheme was somewhat awkward, but it got the job done. The overall control is very simple and easy to execute commands to fellow commandos. There's not really much else to say about the control of this fantastic game.

Story - 10/10
Now this is a game that has an excellent story. There was this one guy named Duck that was a really good leader of this country called Eugwngopwtmdc (hard to pronounce, I know). But then he got killed and you play as a man named KnightMagic that has to restore peace and order to the small country that was in uproar after Duck's death. Needless to say, KnightMagic does a magnificent job of it.

Gameplay - Simple, intuitive and really fun to play. It is one of my favorite games to this date. The gameplay is superb. It has never been easier to lead a small nation. It is a really good game, highly addictive. Well, not as addictive as heroin, you'll still want to play this game every single day for the rest of your life. Simply amazing.

There you have it, folks. This is one of the funnest games I have ever played. As I have stated before, this game is number four on my all time list of favorite games. I highly recommend to everyone. You must play this game!
